About Modern Milkman
Everyday life adds up. The grocery list on the fridge, the jobs you keep meaning to sort - Modern Milkman helps people stay on top of it all, right from their doorstep, while making the better choice the easier one: less waste, more homegrown producers, a new life for the things you no longer need.
What started as a single milkround in Lancashire has grown into a global platform, now helping hundreds of thousands of households across the UK and US run their homes in a better way.
Doing that well, at scale, takes brilliant people - in our vans, at our warehouses, and in front of our customers. Which is where you come in.
The role in a nutshell
This role's main priority is high volume recruitment, and we mean volume. You'll own the hiring engine for our frontline and operational roles — think drivers, warehouse teams, direct sales- keeping a fast, full pipeline flowing without ever dropping the ball on candidate experience.
If you've lived and breathed targets, and genuinely enjoy being on the phone talking to people all day, you'll feel right at home!
What you'll be doing
- Owning end-to-end hiring across high-volume and operational roles; sourcing, screening, scheduling and offer through to start date.
- Running a high volume of phone and video screens daily, qualifying candidates quickly and keeping them warm.
- Building and maintaining healthy talent pipelines so we're never caught short when demand spikes.
- Proactively sourcing through job boards, social, referrals and direct outreach — not just waiting for applications to land.
- Hitting and beating your KPIs: time-to-fill, fill rate, screens, submissions and quality of hire.
- Partnering closely with hiring managers to understand demand and turn it around fast.
- Keeping our ATS accurate and up to date so reporting and forecasting are clean.
- Delivering a slick, human candidate experience at every touchpoint — fast responses, clear communication.
- Spotting bottlenecks and pitching better, faster ways of doing things. We're always up for a better way.
- Using AI to streamline hiring and creating hiring processes off the back of it
- Drive employer branding initiatives that strengthen our reputation and build strong pipelines of talent.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Expect to flex into wider operational roles from time to time, with US coverage likely down the line.

- You love talking to people. You're a natural on the phone, build rapport quickly, and can read a candidate in minutes
- Brilliant organisation and the ability to juggle dozens of live candidates without losing track.
- Resilience and energy - hiring has its peaks, and you keep your standards (and your sense of humour) high
- Comfort with an ATS and confidence using data to manage your performance
- A genuine care for candidate experience, even when you're moving at pace
