Recruiter UK
At Vilgain, we are growing fast across markets, teams and functions. Hiring is one of the biggest levers for our growth, so recruitment cannot be just about posting jobs and moving candidates through the process. We need a Senior Recruiter who can act as a real talent partner, someone who understands the business, challenges hiring managers when needed and brings the right people into the company.
What will be your mission?
- Own end-to-end recruitment for selected roles across Vilgain — from intake with the hiring manager to sourcing, screening, process management, offer and closing.
- Build strong pipelines for business-critical roles across HQ, marketing, product, operations, retail, and international expansion.
- Partner closely with hiring managers to understand what the role really needs, define the hiring bar and set up a clear search strategy.
- Challenge unrealistic requirements and help hiring managers separate true must-haves from “nice to have” expectations.
- Actively source candidates through LinkedIn, databases, referrals, communities and other relevant channels.
- Run high-quality screening calls focused on motivation, impact, ownership, performance and culture fit.
- Improve candidate evaluation through structured notes, clear recommendations and strong proof of excellence.
- Manage the hiring process with speed, clarity and discipline, making sure candidates and hiring managers always know the next step.
- Support offer preparation and closing, including candidate motivation, compensation expectations and risk management.
- Use recruitment data to understand funnel health, bottlenecks and conversion rates, then turn insights into action.
- Contribute to better recruitment standards, templates, interview questions, case studies and candidate experience.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who do we look for?

- You are strong in sourcing and know how to find people who are not actively applying.
- You understand that good recruitment is not about volume, but about quality, judgment and business impact.
- You can partner with hiring managers, but you are not afraid to challenge them when the brief does not make sense.
- You know how to evaluate candidates beyond CV keywords and polished interview answers.

- You communicate clearly, directly and professionally with candidates and internal stakeholders.
- You are structured, fast and reliable. You keep the process moving without creating chaos.
- You care about candidate experience, but you also protect the hiring bar.
