The Role
We are seeking a Recruitment Administrator to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Recruitment Manager throughout the recruitment and onboarding process. This role ensures a smooth recruitment experience while maintaining accurate records and ensuring all pre-employment checks comply with company policies, safer recruitment practices, and employment legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Recruitment Manager.
- Assist with the full recruitment process:
- Advertising vacancies
- Screening applications against role requirements
- Arranging interviews
- Liaise with candidates, providing updates and responding to recruitment enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and update the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Verify candidates' right to work in the UK by checking original documentation (e.g., passports, birth certificates, share codes).
- Process pre-employment checks:
- References
- Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) applications
- Employment history verification
- Compliance documentation
- Prepare offer letters, contracts of employment, and onboarding documentation for successful candidates.
- Coordinate:
- Skills assessments
- Induction training
- New starter onboarding, ensuring all required paperwork is completed before employment begins.
- Ensure recruitment files meet GDPR and company procedural standards.
- Work closely with the Recruitment Manager.
- Support the organisation’s commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI).
- Carry out any other recruitment administration tasks as requested.

Person Specification
Essential:
- Previous experience in an administration, recruitment, or HR support role.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to learn recruitment systems (e.g., Applicant Tracking Systems).
- Ability to work independently while supporting a wider team.
- Professional, approachable and capable of maintaining confidentiality.

Desirable:
- Experience within the health and social care sector.
- Knowledge of safer recruitment practices.
- Experience processing DBS applications, references, and pre-employment checks.
- Familiarity with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) (e.g., Tribepad).
Qualifications:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- A qualification in Business Administration, Human Resources, or Recruitment is desirable but not essential.
