The Role
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Recruitment Administrator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with previous recruitment, compliance, administration, or construction industry experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
You will play a key role in supporting the recruitment and onboarding process, ensuring all candidates are fully compliant and meet client and industry requirements before deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment Administration
- Supporting the end-to-end recruitment process for site-based construction and infrastructure personnel.
- Processing candidate applications and maintaining accurate employee records.
- Coordinating interviews, inductions, and onboarding activities.
- Liaising with candidates, recruiters, site teams, and clients regarding workforce requirements.

Compliance & Right to Work
- Conducting and recording Right to Work checks in line with UK legislation.
- Verifying identity documents and immigration status documentation.
- Ensuring all onboarding documentation is completed accurately and within required timescales.
- Monitoring and updating compliance records to maintain audit readiness.
- Supporting internal and external compliance audits.
Construction & Industry Qualification Checks
- Verifying construction competency cards and qualifications
- Ensuring workers hold the required certifications and competencies before deployment to site.
- Liaising with training providers and awarding bodies when required.
Referencing & Screening
- Obtaining and verifying employment references.
- Conducting candidate screening and eligibility checks.
- Ensuring all candidate files meet client-specific and company compliance standards.
General Administration
- Managing shared inboxes and responding to candidate queries.
- Supporting payroll and operational teams with employee documentation.

Payroll & Timesheet Administration
- Chasing outstanding timesheets and resolving discrepancies with workers, clients, and site managers.
- Ensuring approved hours are submitted to payroll within required deadlines.
- Assisting with payroll queries and investigating any pay-related issues.
- Maintaining accurate records of hours worked, absences, holidays, and workforce data.
- Liaising closely with Payroll, Operations, and Recruitment teams to ensure smooth workforce administration.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in recruitment administration, compliance administration, or a similar role.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
- Professional and customer-focused approach.
- Knowledge of workforce compliance and onboarding procedures.
