Senior Recruitment & Administrator (Maternity Cover) – South Coast Nursing Homes
About the Role
South Coast Nursing Homes is a family owned and managed, established and successful care home company based in Worthing, West Sussex. We currently operate 9 homes across East and West Sussex, with 414 beds in total, including our newest luxury flagship home, The Poets.
This is a maternity cover position for up to 1 year, starting ideal at the end of August / beginning of September 2026.
- Location: Office-based in Worthing, West Sussex
- Working hours: 24 hours per week, with flexible availability on days and hours
As the face of South Coast Nursing Homes to new and potential recruits, you will play a critical role in ensuring that we recruit the right talent efficiently and sustainably. Recruitment is the lifeblood of our organisation, so you must be a tenacious, driven, and highly organised administrator.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the recruitment lifecycle across the SCNH group, including:
- Sifting applications
- Screening candidates
- Booking interviews
- Liaising with Home Managers and administrators on staff rotas and vacancies, and providing weekly updates on recruitment progress.
- Administering recruitment documentation, such as:
- Background checks
- DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) applications
- References and contracts
- Offer letters
- Engaging key stakeholders (within and beyond HQ) to develop innovative strategies for attracting, recruiting, and retaining talent in a highly competitive job market, including sponsorship.
- Supporting the HR Manager with administrative duties.

Requirements
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
✅ IT proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, with the ability to adapt to new systems. ✅ Self-motivation with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently and unsupervised. ✅ Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Desirable but Valuable:
🔹 Recruitment experience within the Health & Social Care sector (preferably internal recruitment). 🔹 Knowledge of employment law and sponsorship processes (particularly useful for international hiring). 🔹 Experience using SCNH’s recruitment system (SMS at Level 1). 🔹 Advanced computer skills, such as MS Word and Excel, for report writing.

- Thrive in a fast-paced recruitment landscape, potentially transitioning from agency recruitment to in-house roles.
