The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Recruitment Consultant to join our growing Horticulture & Landscaping division based in Egham, Surrey. This is a full-time permanent position offering a basic salary of £28,000 to £32,000 plus uncapped commission. The role offers hybrid working, with Monday to Wednesday office based and Thursday to Friday working from home.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and growing specialist recruitment division with existing temporary clients, live vacancies and significant national growth potential. Reporting directly to the Divisional Manager, you will take responsibility for developing and expanding the temporary recruitment desk, building long-term relationships with clients and candidates while delivering an exceptional recruitment service.

The Role

As our Temporary Recruitment Consultant, you will take ownership of the temporary recruitment desk, supporting existing clients while developing new business opportunities across the UK.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Business development
  • Client relationship management
  • Temporary recruitment
  • Candidate sourcing and interviewing
  • Worker compliance and onboarding
  • Vacancy management
  • Account growth
  • Building and managing a temporary workforce

You will manage the full temporary recruitment cycle, from winning new business and taking bookings through to sourcing candidates, ensuring compliance, managing placements and maintaining excellent relationships with both clients and temporary workers.

Reporting directly to the Divisional Manager, you will play a key role in the continued growth of the temporary division, with genuine opportunities for career progression as the business expands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities within the Horticulture & Landscaping sectors.
  • Build relationships with Grounds Maintenance contractors, landscaping businesses, local authorities and horticultural companies across the UK.
  • Manage temporary staffing requirements from initial booking through to placement.
  • Source, interview and register temporary workers.
  • Ensure Right to Work, compliance and onboarding documentation is completed.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of available candidates.
  • Manage worker bookings, availability and client requirements.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients and temporary workers.
  • Generate leads and identify opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Negotiate charge rates and terms of business.
  • Work closely with the Divisional Manager to achieve growth targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
