About Laz Partners
Founded in 2018, Laz Partners is a London-based specialist executive search boutique focused exclusively on front-office investment talent. We operate across public and private credit, macro fixed-income, equities, and insurance solutions, working with leading alternative managers, asset managers, hedge funds, and investment banks across the UK, US, and Continental Europe.
We have completed over 230 searches to date. 2025 was a record year for the firm commercially, and 2026 is on course to surpass it. Over 30 of the world’s leading investment firms trust us with their hiring, the majority on a retained or exclusive basis. Our reputation is built on discretion, precision, deep market knowledge, and a consultative approach that consistently delivers in some of the most competitive and complex corners of the market.
Across our core verticals, we are regarded as one of the most respected boutiques in the market, operating from individual senior portfolio manager hires through to CIO appointments and full team build-outs. For further detail on the clients we work with, please visit www.lazpartners.com.
The Opportunity
We are hiring an Associate to join our team in London. This is a strong opportunity for a commercially driven individual looking to build a long-term career in executive search within financial services.
The role is fast-paced and broad. You will be trained across our core specialisms: macro, credit, and insurance investment. Deep prior market knowledge is not a requirement. What matters is commercial instinct, drive, and the professional calibre to engage credibly with some of the most accomplished professionals in the investment world.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
