Location: Brentwood, Essex Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Working Pattern: Office Based, Monday to Friday

About ProMedical

Since 2007, ProMedical has partnered with NHS and private healthcare organisations across the UK, delivering healthcare staffing solutions across a range of clinical specialties.

We are looking to strengthen our recruitment team with the appointment of experienced Recruitment Consultants with experience from temporary healthcare recruitment backgrounds. This opportunity is suitable for recruiters specialising in the following sectors:

Medical Locums Nursing Allied Health Professionals (AHP) Health Science Services (HSS) Complex Care Social Care

The Role

As a Recruitment Consultant at ProMedical, you will take ownership of your recruitment desk, managing clients, candidates, vacancies, bookings, and placement activities within your specialist market.

You’ll join an established healthcare recruitment business, backed by:

  • Access to existing client relationships
  • Active vacancies
  • A large candidate database
  • Professional networking platforms
  • Website advertising
  • Dedicated operational support

This role offers 360 recruitment, but you’ll benefit from support from experienced teams in Compliance, Operations, Pay & Bill, and Bookings, allowing you to focus on building relationships, developing business, and growing a sustainable desk.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals
  • Develop existing client relationships and identify new business opportunities
  • Source, interview, and place candidates into suitable temporary healthcare roles
  • Build and manage a strong candidate pipeline
  • Manage vacancies, bookings, and placement activity
  • Negotiate pay rates in line with agreed commercial terms
  • Work closely with Compliance for candidate onboarding
  • Collaborate with Bookings and Operations to support successful placements
  • Deliver a professional service to candidates and clients
  • Develop a profitable and sustainable recruitment desk

About You

We are particularly interested in speaking with recruiters who have experience in:

  • Temporary healthcare recruitment, including:
    • Medical Locums
    • Nursing
    • Allied Health Professionals (AHP)
    • Health Science Services (HSS)
    • Complex Care
    • Social Care
  • Currently consider applicants from other temporary recruitment sectors where there is a proven track record of desk ownership, business development, candidate management, and billing
