Description
Overview
We are looking for an experienced 360 Recruitment Consultant to take ownership of a commercial/business support desk covering Bolton and the wider North West. This is a genuine opportunity to grow and shape a high-potential patch, with support from an experienced leadership team and an established brand.
You’ll work a hybrid model – predominantly from home, with 1–2 days a week in our modern Stockport office alongside a small, experienced team.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Management
- Own a defined geographical patch (Bolton and surrounding areas: Bury, Oldham, Chorley, Preston, etc.).
- Proactively identify and win new business across commercial/business support roles (perm & temp).
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and lapsed clients.
- Conduct regular client meetings/visits (aiming towards c. 4 per week) to deepen relationships and secure new vacancies and bookings.
- Negotiate fees, rates, and terms in line with company guidelines and market conditions.
Candidate Attraction & Management
- Source candidates through job boards, database, social media, networking, and referrals.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for perm and temp roles:
- Advertising vacancies
- Screening and interviewing candidates
- Shortlisting and presenting candidates to clients
- Managing interview processes and feedback
- Handling offers, negotiations, and onboarding
- Build and maintain talent pools relevant to your patch and specialism.
Desk & Performance Management
- Take full ownership for building and growing your own desk, including:
- Achieving and then growing monthly billing levels (working towards c. £10k per month).
- Maintaining a healthy pipeline of vacancies and bookings.
- Work towards individually agreed targets and KPIs, focused on:
- Vacancies and bookings
- Client meetings
- Revenue and margin.
- Use the CRM and reporting tools accurately to record activity, pipeline, and revenue.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the business to maximise cross-selling opportunities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
