Recruitment & HR Coordinator
What you’ll do
You’ll coordinate recruitment administration from vacancy approval to appointment, including preparing adverts, arranging interviews, sending candidate communications and keeping recruitment systems and trackers up to date.
You’ll also help coordinate pre-employment checks, including identity, right to work, references, qualifications and DBS checks. You’ll support the accuracy of safer recruitment records and our Single Central Record, escalating missing, delayed or concerning information promptly.
Alongside recruitment, you’ll support wider HR administration and help the team deliver a consistent, organised and responsive service across College.
What you’ll bring
You’ll have experience in administration, ideally in HR, recruitment, education or another regulated environment. You’ll be organised, accurate and confident managing different tasks, deadlines and records.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You’ll have good written and verbal communication skills, be comfortable using Microsoft Office, recruitment systems and digital trackers, and understand the importance of handling confidential information carefully.
Knowledge of safer recruitment, pre-employment checks or Single Central Record requirements would be helpful, but we can provide training.
What you’re like
You’re organised, proactive and reliable. You notice when something is missing, follow up actions and keep work moving.
You understand that small errors can create bigger issues, so accuracy matters to you. You provide a calm, helpful and professional service, ask questions when needed and escalate concerns appropriately.
Essentials
You’ll need an enhanced DBS check, which we’ll arrange if you’re appointed. You’ll also need to be committed to safeguarding, inclusion and equality, and be able to travel across College sites when required.
