Recruitment Lead - Gi Group
Location: Uxbridge
Contract: Full-time, permanent

About the role
Lead local recruitment delivery and workforce operations, manage the team day-to-day, and act as the main point of contact for key clients - ensuring service quality, KPI performance, and account growth.
Key responsibilities
- Client management: Own day-to-day client relationships for industrial accounts - clarify requirements, provide regular updates, manage expectations, and identify opportunities to improve service and grow the account.
- Recruitment delivery: Run local sourcing activities (job boards, social media, community/local organisations) to build candidate pipelines.
- Relationship management: Act as a point of contact for both workers and clients, resolving issues and ensuring smooth communication.
- Candidate management: Screen, interview, shortlist, and maintain accurate candidate records in the database; keep candidates “work-ready” for ongoing employability.
- Workforce and compliance: Oversee contracts, onboarding, rehiring, and compliance with labour cost controls and internal procedures.
- Team leadership: Supervise and support the local recruitment team; ensure consistent delivery and service standards.
- Service performance: Monitor KPIs, governance requirements, and spend; support high-value negotiations and continuous improvement.
- Issue resolution: Act as escalation point for worker/client issues and keep communication smooth and professional.
- Systems and process: Use company systems/tools effectively and follow agreed processes to maintain quality.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead, coach and develop a team to deliver consistent, high-quality recruitment outcomes.
- Own the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for priority roles, including briefing, sourcing, screening, and candidate management to meet agreed SLAs.
- Design and implement attraction strategies using job boards, social media, direct sourcing, and internal talent pools to build strong candidate pipelines.
- Work closely with clients to understand resourcing needs, workforce planning, and onboarding requirements.
- Monitor team and account performance against KPIs and SLAs; produce regular reports and take corrective action where required.
- Drive continuous improvement through process optimization, quality assurance, and promoting best practice across the team.
- Ensure compliance with right-to-work checks, data protection, and company policies; maintain accurate records in the ATS.
- Provide occasional out-of-hours cover for urgent client or site issues as required.

- Proven recruitment and workforce management experience
- Strong leadership and team supervision capability
- Confident client relationship management and communication skills
- Commercial awareness (cost control, account growth, negotiation)
- KPI-driven operational focus and attention to quality/compliance
- Strong problem-solving and ability to make decisions under pressure
- Analytical mindset to review performance and improve outcomes
