Looking for a role where your energy and ideas actually shape the business?
Join a team that truly cares.
At Visiting Angels, we believe great care starts with great people — and that's where you come in. We're looking for an energetic, outgoing and people-focused Recruitment Lead to head up the search for compassionate carers and guide them seamlessly from application to their very first shift — and beyond.
This is a brilliant opportunity for a self-starter who loves connecting with people, can manage their own schedule and workload, and wants to make a real difference in the health and social care sector.
What you'll be doing:
- Owning the full recruitment cycle — from job posting and sourcing to interviewing and onboarding
- Writing engaging job adverts, social media posts and candidate communications
- Helping build our social media presence to attract high-quality candidates
- Bringing fresh, innovative ideas to how we attract — and keep — great carers
- Helping new carers settle in so they stay and thrive
- Representing Visiting Angels at recruitment fairs and community events (some weekend flexibility required)
- Creating a warm, professional candidate experience that reflects our Carer-Centric values
- Ensuring all compliance, DBS checks and onboarding processes (including Birdie software) are completed accurately and on time
- Working closely with our friendly office team for smooth handovers
- Sharing on-call responsibilities with the wider team which will require delivering care to clients on occasion
- Tracking recruitment metrics and reporting on progress to senior leadership.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
