Recruitment Partner — Build Your Own Specialist Desk

Powered by the VTG Recruitment Engine™

Vertical Talent Group | Remote (UK) | Self-employed partnership | Uncapped

The short version

This isn’t a job ad — it’s a business opportunity. We’re looking for a recruitment entrepreneur: someone who wants to build their own specialist recruitment business without the risk, overheads and admin of starting an agency from scratch.

You might be a top-billing recruiter ready to go it alone. You might be an industry insider with a network your market would struggle to buy. You might be a business development professional who can open doors and build trust. What matters isn’t years served — it’s whether you can win clients and build a market.

The problem with going it alone is that you’d spend 70% of your time on lead generation, sourcing, compliance, admin and chasing invoices instead of doing the thing you’re actually good at. We’ve built the infrastructure so you don’t have to.

What you’ll do

Build your own specialist permanent recruitment market — your vertical, your clients, your reputation — backed by the VTG Recruitment Engine. You focus on relationships, client meetings and closing placements. We handle everything else.

What the Engine delivers (contractually — we publish an SLA)

  • Appointment setting: qualified client meetings booked into your diary every month by our established telemarketing partner
  • Candidate sourcing and delivery: dedicated outsourced sourcing and delivery support on every live role — CVs within 48 hours of a qualified brief, typically 24
  • Compliance, contracts and admin: terms of business, right-to-work, GDPR — handled, with 24-hour turnaround
  • Invoicing and credit control: we raise, chase and collect so you never have that awkward conversation
  • CRM, AI-assisted tools and marketing: set up and ready from day one

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

VTG provides the platform — the brand, contracts, systems and support. The Recruitment Engine powers it: a human-led operating system strengthened by outsourced expertise, proven processes and AI-assisted tools. Humans make the decisions; AI makes them faster.

This isn’t a promise on a slide. Since late 2025 the founder hasn’t personally worked a single vacancy — every role on his own desk has been sourced, delivered and invoiced by the Engine. You’re plugging into a working system, not a theory.

What you’ll earn

  • 40% of collected fees during your three-month launch phase, while we carry the full infrastructure cost
  • 50% from month four, with a modest monthly infrastructure contribution once you’re trading
  • A performance ladder to 60% and 70% as your desk grows
  • Splits are paid on cash collected — transparent, on a monthly one-page P&L you’ll see every month

Your year-one target: £100,000–£150,000 in fees billed. With the Engine handling sourcing, delivery and admin, that’s two to three placements a month once you’re up and running. At our splits, that puts roughly £45,000–£70,000+ in your pocket in year one while you build — exiting the year on a six-figure trajectory, with the ladder and year-two partnership structures taking you well beyond. Your ceiling is your market, not our salary bands. Your ceiling is your market, not our salary bands.

Long term: partners who build sustained six-figure markets earn the right to negotiate equity in their own specialist company within the group. This is a genuine ownership pathway with a written milestone — not a dangling carrot.

Who this is for

We’re backing recruitment entrepreneurs — we’re not counting years of service. You might be:

  • A top-billing recruiter ready to build something that’s yours instead of someone else’s
  • An industry insider — engineering, manufacturing, construction, automation, industrial technology or adjacent UK markets — with credibility and a network money can’t buy
  • A business development professional who can open doors, win trust and manage relationships

What you must have: a demonstrable track record of winning business or billing fees, a specialist market you know cold, the self-discipline to work remotely and be measured on outcomes, and the ambition to own something long-term.

Who this is NOT for — read this bit

There is no salary and no draw. You’ll need roughly 3–6 months of personal financial runway while your desk ramps. If that rules you out, this isn’t the right time — no hard feelings. We’re deliberately looking for someone backing themselves, because that’s who succeeds at this.

We’re recruiting one partner for this launch. You’ll work directly with the founder, help shape the platform, and be the proof point for everything that follows. That’s a genuine opportunity — and a genuine responsibility.

How to apply

Send a CV (or LinkedIn profile) plus a short note covering: your specialist market, why you’d win in it, and evidence of what you’ve billed or built. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to present a simple 90-day market plan — we’ll share the format.
