Fixed Term Contract - 6 Months

Hybrid with regular travel to Leominster, Herefordshire during onboarding and for key stakeholder meetings.

The Role

Steatite, part of Solid-State PLC, is looking for a proactive and results-driven Recruitment Resourcer to concentrate on and support a significant recruitment campaign across our Leominster operation. This role will focus on identifying, attracting and engaging high-quality candidates across a wide range of vacancies, from production and manufacturing positions through to specialist engineering and technical roles.

Working closely with the Recruitment Team and Hiring Managers, you will play a key role in building talent pipelines, reducing agency reliance and ensuring vacancies are filled efficiently with the best available talent. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys direct candidate sourcing, talent mapping and relationship building within a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will spend time on-site during their induction period to build relationships, understand our business and gain insight into our hiring needs. Thereafter, the role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement with attendance at site as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively source candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, CV databases, networking and direct search techniques.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future recruitment needs.
  • Identify and engage passive candidates for specialist and hard-to-fill vacancies.
  • Conduct initial candidate screening and qualification conversations.
  • Support recruitment campaigns across manufacturing, engineering, operations and technical functions.
  • Manage candidate communications and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Coordinate interviews and support recruitment scheduling activities.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Undertake market mapping and competitor research to identify talent pools.
  • Provide recruitment market insight, including candidate availability and salary expectations.
  • Work closely with Hiring Managers and the Recruitment Team to support recruitment delivery.
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at reducing agency spend and increasing direct hiring success.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience within recruitment, talent acquisition, candidate resourcing or agency recruitment.
  • Proven ability to source candidates directly using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards and CV databases.
  • Experience managing multiple vacancies simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively manage priorities.
  • Strong candidate engagement and networking skills.
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems and recruitment databases.

Desirable:

  • Experience recruiting within manufacturing, engineering, electronics, defence or technology sectors.
  • Experience sourcing niche technical or engineering skill sets.
  • Knowledge of talent mapping and proactive recruitment methodologies.
  • Experience supporting high-volume recruitment campaigns.
