Description

Enva Specialist is hiring a Recycling Operative to join the Blantyre depot on a permanent basis.

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 6am to 6pm with eligibility for overtime

In this role, you will ensure the safe and efficient day to day operation of Blantyre Organics. The work involves manually sorting through various waste materials on the process line along with hygiene duties, ensuring relevant waste is separated per its stream and that all recyclable elements are recovered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the recycling plant operations are managed in line with Health and Safety legislation and Enva standard
  • Ensure all duties (recycling, inspections and cleaning) are carried out and recorded as per company and manufactures instructions and procedures.
  • Assist in the day to day operations of the plant in accordance with site licence and contractual conditions.
  • Sort and separate waste types to ensure plant performance is at its highest.
  • Maintain the highest cleanliness of all working areas.
  • Ensure that the site is maintained in a clean condition. Any defect affecting the safe working order of equipment to be reported immediately.
  • Ensure that the correct Personal Protective Equipment, as provided by the Company, is worn at all times. The correct PPE must be worn at all times when handling waste materials.
  • Remain aware, at all times, of your responsibilities for your own Health and Safety and for the Health and Safety of your work colleagues.
  • Carry out other tasks within your operational ability or for which you have received appropriate training, as and when required.
  • Ensure compliance with all company work practices as directed.
  • Operate mobile plant and other plant equipment safely and competently where trained, instructed and qualified to do so.
  • Assist with the general operations as required and instructed.
