Recycling Operative
Machine Operative - Cable Recycling - FLT Counterbalance
Location: Shepshed, LE12, Leicestershire
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Sector/Work Environment: Manufacturing
Key Duties
- Operating recycling machinery that processes cables from construction sites across the UK
- Using forklifts and loading shovels (training can be provided if not licensed)
- Following strict health and safety procedures
- Keeping your work area clean, tidy, and organised
- Supporting your team to ensure smooth daily operations
Pay Rate: £13.00/hour (AM shift) | £15.00/hour (PM shift)
Any lawful deductions will be explained clearly before engagement. Statutory deductions such as Tax, National Insurance, and pension contributions (where applicable) will apply.

Shift Patterns
- Monday to Friday
- AM Shift: 06:00 - 14:30 | £13/hour
- PM Shift: 14:00 - 22:00 | £15/hour
- Occasional Saturdays: Few hours at £16.25/hour
Candidate Requirements
- Reliable and available to work Monday to Friday every week
- Mechanically minded with a practical approach to work
- Previous experience in recycling or a similar industrial environment preferred
- Clear communication skills in English (spoken and understood)
- FLT Counterbalance and/or shovel operating experience is an advantage
- Responsible, safety-conscious, and takes pride in their work
- Seeking stable, long-term employment with a company that values its people
