Re-Engagement and Job Outcome Coach
Location: Cardiff, CF10 3BW Salary: £30,000 + excellent benefits Contract: Fixed-term, 12 months (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, 37.5 hours, on-site)
About the Role
Ready to impact a better future? As a Re-Engagement and Job Outcome Coach in our Employment, Skills and Training team at Restart, you’ll play a pivotal role in reconnecting individuals with meaningful employment. This attainable and highly purposeful role involves proactively re-engaging participants, unlocking their potential, and moving them into sustainable jobs.
By fostering meaningful connections and driving momentum, your work will directly enhance communities and build a better future.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be entrusted to:
- Proactively engage participants beyond 12 months into the programme, encouraging ongoing participation.
- Re-engage individuals who have disengaged, using tailored strategies to rebuild motivation and confidence.
- Review caseloads and action plans, identifying participants ready for the workplace and quick-win opportunities.
- Collaborate with Employer Engagement teams to match participants with suitable job vacancies.
- Prepare participants for work by supporting them with:
- CV writing
- Interview training
- Confidence-building
- Track and measure engagement, re-engagement success, and employment conversions.
- Utilise data and insights to prioritise intervention and refine approaches.

Requirements
A strong fit for this role will demonstrate:
- Proven experience in:
- Employability
- Recruitment
- Participant-facing coaching/mentoring
- Deep understanding of employability programmes and their design requirements.
- Exceptional engagement and motivational skills, particularly with individuals overcoming barriers.
- Ability to work at pace and efficiently manage a high volume of work.
- Strong communication and influencing skills to engage effectively.
- Excellent organisation, time management, and IT skills.
- Welsh language skills are desirable.
Vetting & Checks
- Enhanced DBS check required (includes spent/unspent convictions, cautions, and safeguarding).
- Completion of an Occupational Health Questionnaire to support role requirements.
