📍 Location: Cardiff, CF10 3BWS 💰 Salary: £30,000 plus excellent benefits 📅 Schedule: Fixed Term Contract (12-months), Monday to Friday (9am – 5pm, 37.5 hours/week), 5 days on-site
About the Role
Ready to make a real impact? As a Re-Engagement and Job Outcome Coach in the Employment, Skills and Training team at Restart, you’ll help people secure meaningful employment opportunities through proactive support, motivation, and confidence-building.
Be part of a mission to reconnect individuals who may have disengaged, unlock their potential, and guide them into sustainable jobs— Directly improving lives and communities.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be tasked with:
- Proactively re-engage participants beyond or approaching 12 months on the programme, encouraging continued participation.
- Rebuild motivation in disengaged individuals using tailored approaches.
- Analyse caseloads and action plans to identify job-ready participants and quick career opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with Employer Engagement teams to match participants with suitable vacancies.
- Provide job-readiness support, including CV writing assistance, interview preparation, and confidence-building coaching.
- Monitor progress, tracking engagement, re-engagement success, and employment outcomes.
- Leverage data and insights to prioritise efficient, impactful work strategies.

Requirements & Fit for Role
Ideal candidates possess:
- Proven experience in employability, recruitment, or participant-facing roles.
- Thorough understanding of employability programmes.
- Strong motivational and engagement skills, especially with individuals facing barriers.
- Ability to work at pace with high caseloads.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Highly organized, with strong time management and IT proficiency.
- Welsh-speaking skills are desirable but not essential.
Vetting: Enhanced DBS (Employment & Safer RecruitingINE) check (spent/unspent convictions covered) and completion of an occupational health questionnaire required.
