A family in Welwyn (Tewin Wood) is in need of a nanny housekeeper.
- They need two days per week, ideally Thursday and Friday but can do Wednesday and Thursday.
- They have some flexibility on the hours, can do 8 or 9am start and 6 or 7pm finish.
- The children are both in school and nursery, so it's light housekeeping during school hours with care of the eldest in school holidays (and on call for either being off school/nursery!).

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
This is a long-term position to start as soon as possible - they have a 3-day nanny housekeeper already who'd been with them for 3 years.
- They do not ask for anything too heavy, and keep a cleaner - role includes cleaning up the kitchen, general tidying, family laundry and if you want to walk the dogs that's great (but not a must, purely to your choice! They only need 15-20 mins and will not go out in bad weather!)
- They offer £16-£18gph. Ofsted not needed.
- Role is predominantly sole charge, although parents mostly work from home and will do the school runs - once home they'll hand to you and go back to their work!
- They have a lovely garden and plot of land, they'd love you to utilize this but walks, parks locally are great for the eldest in the holidays too. However the role is mostly home-based.
- A driver is needed to get to work, as they're rural but no driving required for the role (unless an emergency).
- They have two small older dogs.
- This position will not suit a NWOC.
