Arthur Terry School

Arthur Terry School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Refocus Lead to join our pastoral team. This is a vital role focused on supporting the personal development and wellbeing of our students, helping them thrive in a safe, respectful and supportive environment.

This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in providing targeted behaviour support and leading the daily operations of our refocus provision. If you’re passionate about working with young people and are committed to helping them succeed, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work with the pastoral team to provide effective pastoral care for Years 7-11, ensuring all students can achieve in a safe and supportive environment
  • To co-ordinate the effective running of the Refocus Room
  • To analyse data, monitor attendance, and home/school liaisons
  • Provide support and advice to students, promoting their social care and personal development with respect to learning, along with ensuring the health and safety of all students in line with school and Trust policies

What You'll Need To Succeed

  • Be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Have experience working within a pastoral role or with students in a supporting role
  • Be able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
  • Be committed to supporting the learning and development of students
  • Be committed to supporting the values and ethos of the school
