Learning Coach

Total People are looking to recruit a Learning Coach who will be responsible for coaching, mentoring, tutoring, and assessing students on the L2 & L3 standards. This post is offered on a permanent basis, working 37 hours per week, based at our Wythenshawe Campus (we would consider part time applications).

Role Overview

The Learning Coach will support the apprentices to develop their knowledge, skills, and behaviours that are required to be demonstrated within the apprenticeship. This will consist of coaching and mentoring sessions, knowledge delivery through teaching sessions that will be run at our classroom and workshops. You will be required to teach in both the classroom and the workshop environment, complete guidance and mock end point assessments to ensure that apprenticeships are ready for the independent assessment at the end of their apprenticeship.

You will work closely with other Learning coaches to ensure that the skills and knowledge learnt in the classroom will be embedded in the workplace. You will take part in discussions with employers to build good relationships and be involved in updating all parties on the apprentice’s journey through progress reviews.

You will be expected to embed maths and English into your delivery to ensure that learners that do not have the required level of Functional skills or equivalent can pass the exams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fulfil teaching commitments which will consist of both classroom and workshop environment.
  • Manage and maintain a caseload of learners as agreed with your line manager and carry out regular learner interventions.

  • Engage the learner’s line manager, making clear their responsibilities and working collaboratively to provide support, guidance, and opportunities for learning.
  • Plan the end point assessment process with learners and employers, ensuring preparation and practice is included in the learning plan.
  • Inspire and motivate learners and identify any barriers and adapt to your learners’ needs.
  • Motivate and drive learners to achieve their qualifications on time.
  • Deliver Maths and English (and ICT where applicable), to support the learner’s achievement and progress in these areas.
  • Ensure marking and feedback to the learner is accurate and supports their development.
  • Work closely with IQA’s on best practice, development needs, and providing sampling, monitoring as detailed in the IQA plan.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with employers ensuring progression and new leads are generated.
  • Produce accurate and timely reports as agreed with your line manager based on your KPI’s.
  • Contribute to the production of high-quality learning materials.
  • Live the values of the Group through positive behaviours and attitude.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
