Refrigeration Engineer
Permanent | South Wales £45,000 - £52,000 per year
Bridgestaff Group are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer on behalf of a well-established and highly respected specialist within the commercial and industrial refrigeration sector, covering South Wales.
Our client has built a strong reputation for delivering innovative cooling solutions across a diverse range of industries. With a focus on quality, technical excellence, and customer service, they continue to invest heavily in both their people and the latest refrigeration technologies to support long-term growth and development.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong commercial refrigeration background who is looking to join a business that genuinely values its workforce and promotes ongoing professional development.

Engineers are also supported by a well-organised and collaborative on-call and standby rota, ensuring a healthy balance between service delivery and employee wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of commercial refrigeration systems.
- Diagnose and resolve refrigeration system issues efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, health and safety regulations, and company procedures.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times.
- Participate in the on-call and standby rota.

Essential Requirements
- FGAS 2079 Certification
- Minimum 7 years' experience working within commercial refrigeration
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- City & Guilds Levels 1, 2 & 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
- 19th Edition Electrical Installations
- IPAF
- PASMA
- CSCS Card
- Hydrocarbon Refrigerant Experience
- Pack System and CO₂ Experience
