We are currently recruiting for a Region Sales Manager to lead and inspire a regional team responsible for driving consumable product sales across the UK, Ireland, and the Nordic region within the Life Sciences sector.
This is a career-defining opportunity for a developing leader ready to step into greater strategic ownership. You’ll:

With ~50% regional travel—and occasional global exposure—this role offers exceptional visibility, influence, and the chance to accelerate leadership growth while contributing to industries that truly matter.
Eligibility: Candidates must be based in the United Kingdom, Ireland, or Sweden.
What You Will Do
Work will be split 30% business management, 20% financial objective achievement, 25% customer focus, and 25% employee development.
Business Management (30%)
- Facilitate business development and expansion by nurturing key relationships in the Life Sciences industry.
- Monitor market trends and strategize region-wide growth.
- Partner with sales leadership to develop and manage regional strategy.
- Identify top prospects, projects, and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Foster continuous productivity improvement in sales processes.

Achieving Financial Objectives (20%)
- Develop and communicate business strategies.
- Drive activities to meet regional financial targets.
- Contribute to pricing policy alignment.
- Manage regional business within budget constraints.
- Optimise time, travel, and sales activities for maximum effectiveness.
Customer Focus (25%)
- Understand and prioritise customer needs company-wide.
- Collaborate with functional leaders to implement process improvements.
- Ensure consistent response quality while serving customer demands.
- Train direct reports to deliver integrated customer solutions.
- Champion top-tier customer engagement strategies.
Employee Development (25%)
- Recruit, interview, and onboard talent aligned with STERIS values.
- Foster a culture of self-growth, innovation, and problem-solving.
- Coach a team to excel in collaborative sales relationships.
- Conduct regular performance check-ins to track objectives and development.
- Assess and address training and education needs regionally.

Required Experience
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Chemistry, Biology, Science, or Engineering).
- 2 years of management experience in the pharmaceutical or Life Sciences market, with multiple-product responsibility.
- 2 years of successful people management experience.
- 5+ years in sales support, including:
- Managing complex sales situations.
- Technically proficient in team-based approaches.
- Strong leadership, matrix management, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel ~50% of the time regionally, with occasional global trips.
Desired:
- Deep industry knowledge of marketplace dynamics and customer behaviour.
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation abilities.
- Proven leadership with experience in resource orchestration and team motivation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience working with distributed teams.
- Drive to influence and achieve objectives in dynamic settings.
