Business Development Manager – New Lending Opportunities (Central & North London)

Key Accountabilities

Management of lending opportunities: Generate and develop new bridging finance opportunities in:
- Central & North London
- Hertfordshire
- Bedfordshire
- Buckinghamshire
- Cambridgeshire

Relationship development:
- Originate and manage professional introducers, mortgage intermediaries, and direct borrowers within your allocated region.

Sales pipeline management:
- Monitor and drive deal flow to meet/ exceed targets.

Collaborative sales approach:
- Work with Head of Sales and internal teams.
- Book and prioritise in-person appointments.

Customer relations:
- Respond promptly via phone/email to new business enquiries.
- Log interactions in the CRM system.
- Deliver exceptional service to broker partners.

Product knowledge & training:
- Build an in-depth understanding of:
- West One’s products.
- Policy/adherence criteria.
- Train intermediary partners on:
- Lending rules.
- Broker portal tools.
- Build an in-depth understanding of:

- Written & verbal excellence.
- Office suite: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively.
Required Knowledge & Qualifications
- Regulatory awareness:
- Treat Customers Fairly (TCF).
- Money Laundering risks.
- Data Protection compliance.
- FCA & PRA rules.
- Specialist finance domain:
- Bridging finance expertise a must.
- Bonus: Experience in wider specialist finance would strengthen your application.
