Regional Business Development Manager
Job Title: Regional Business Development Manager Application Deadline: 20/05/2026
Role Purpose
Drive profitable growth in the UK specialist concrete repair and structural strengthening market.
- Build and sustain strong client relationships
- Identify and secure new opportunities while protecting profitability through commercial input
- Ensure alignment between market needs, client strategy, and internal bid/delivery teams—creating a sustainable pipeline that supports Freyssinet’s long-term objectives
Accountabilities
Client Development & Account Management
- Cultivate longevous relationships with asset owners, consultants, and main contractors
- Secure repeat business through proactive client care and long-term account management
- Position Freyssinet as the leading partner for specialist structural repairs and strengthening
Market & Sector Strategy
- Analyse regional and national markets, identifying accessible opportunities
- Prioritise growth sectors: transport infrastructure, water, energy, and industrial/commercial
- Develop and refine a structured Business Development Plan with clear growth strategies
Pipeline & Opportunity Management
- Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline (new and recurring business)
- Lead bid/no-bid processes, ensuring alignment with client needs and company strategy
- Identify risks/opportunities early and shape bid strategies collaboratively with Preconstruction

Commercial & Negotiation Input
- Influence pricing and contract strategy to optimise margins
- Contribute to high-stakes negotiations with clients and contractors
Internal Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Preconstruction, Estimating, and Operations for seamless bids and deliveries
- Ensure clear scope definition to prevent drift during tender stages
- Feed market insights to drive product development
Leadership & Reporting
- Provide leadership and coaching to regional Business Development and Precon Admin teams
- Maintain accurate Salesforce data for performance tracking and reporting
- Deliver monthly/annual updates on BD performance, pipeline, and forecasts
Essential Requirements
- Proven success in business development within structural repairs, specialist contracting, or related sectors
- Strong industry network (asset owners, consultants, contractors)
- Experience in bid management, opportunity qualification, and negotiation (preferably within construction)
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a construction discipline (applicable knowledge considered)
