Regional Business Manager - South

Regional Business Manager - South (MDS)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and inspirational sales leader to lead our Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) business within the Vascular Access Management (VAM) portfolio. As the Regional Business Manager – South, you will drive commercial success by developing a high-performing sales team, fostering key partnerships, and shaping regional strategy while working closely with healthcare leaders, colleagues, and the UK&I leadership team.


Key Responsibilities

Commercial Leadership

  • Deliver or exceed annual sales revenue and profitability targets for the region.
  • Develop and execute regional sales plans aligned with business strategy.
  • Build strong relationships with senior healthcare stakeholders and decision-makers.

Team Development

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team (Territory Managers).
  • Coach Territory Managers through field visits and personal development plans.
  • Foster a culture of Commercial Excellence, leveraging sales tools like Salesforce for planning and forecasting.

Strategic Collaboration

  • Partner with Commercial, Medical, Clinical, and Marketing teams to maximise opportunities.
  • Contribute to UK&I leadership initiatives and cross-portfolio projects.
  • Ensure alignment with BD policies, processes, and ethical standards.

Performance & Reporting

  • Provide accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and performance reporting.
  • Collaborate across BD teams to identify and execute growth opportunities.
  • Support innovative clinical and commercial solutions that improve patient outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be responsible for shaping partnerships, driving talent, and cultivating a high-performance environment:

  • Influence senior healthcare leaders to establish productive strategic relationships with BD.
  • Recruit, coach, and develop top-performing sales talent.
  • Set and prioritise regional commercial goals while optimising resource deployment.
  • Manage sales forecasts, KPIs, and business performance reviews.
  • Drive adoption of approved marketing campaigns and customer engagement strategies.
  • Support the delivery of commercial and clinical solutions to enhance patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience & Requirements

  • Proven sales leadership experience in healthcare, medical devices, or life sciences.
  • Ability to develop, motivate, and inspire successful sales teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience delivering revenues and profit growth.
  • Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders at multiple organisational levels.
  • Excellent strategic planning, forecasting, and business management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Experience leading through change and driving performance improvement.
  • CRM system proficiency (e.g., Salesforce) and a data-driven sales management approach.
