Regional Category Manager - Castings and Forgings

Job Title: Regional Category Manager — Castings & Forgings (EURAF)


About the Role

The Regional Category Manager (Castings & Forgings) is responsible for driving innovative, data-led category management across the EMEA (EURAF) region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership

    • Lead and deliver high-impact, intelligence-driven category strategy for cost savings, availability, and innovation within castings and forgings.
    • Align regional targets with global objectives, distributing and driving KPIs in collaboration with Global Commerce Managers (GCM) and Local Category Managers (LCM).
    • Support plants, LACs, and markets to achieve targets through flexible implementation plans.
  • Regional Sourcing Strategy

    • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned categories in EURAF (EMEA), ensuring alignment with global spend drivers.
    • Conduct continued market analysis on pricing, suppliers, innovations, and production trends.
    • Work with the Global Category Manager to coordinate strategy for global categories.

  • Supplier Engagement & Contracting

    • Manage regional supplier relationships, including contract negotiations, supplier development, and innovation.
    • Ensure contracts and annexes comply with regional quality, policy, and procurement laws.
    • Represent EURAF Region inputs in global category strategy development.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Build and maintain strong local and international stakeholder relationships.
    • Lead sourcing projects ensuring value for money, compliance, and sustainable gains.
  • Tender & Market Intelligence

    • Execute RFx processes, negotiate, and implement regionally efficient contracts.
    • Provide regional market data (supplier, pricing, trends, risks) to Global Commodity Managers.
  • Standardisation & Compliance

    • Ensure adoption of global processes and templates in EUARF, fostering harmonisation.
  • Critical with Regulatory Adherence

    • Reference Global Category Manager & Regional Category Manager roles and responsibilities (Annex).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Completed degree in Business/Technical field (e.g. Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years in strategic procurement, with a **focus on castings & forgings Purchasing/Talent».
  • Proven experience in global tendering and international negotiations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-cultural team collaboration skills.
  • Excellent written & spoken German and English proficiency.

Key Competencies

  • Exceptional negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and trend foresight ability.
