Position Overview
This opportunity is for a Regional Chartering & Voyage Operations Lead supporting marine transport activities across the West region. The Regional Chartering & Voyage Operations Lead will play a key role in safe, compliant and cost-efficient shipping execution while contributing to a transition to an independent operating model. This position offers strong operational scope across chartering, voyage execution and freight efficiency in a dynamic supply chain environment. The Regional Chartering & Voyage Operations Lead role is well suited to candidates with deep shipping operations expertise and a strong background in tanker or bulk liquid transport.
Role Context
This role sits within a marine and supply chain environment focused on regional shipping operations in the West region. The opportunity supports marine transport activities across tanker, lubricants, chemicals or bulk/liquid shipping operations. The role involves close coordination with supply chain, procurement, commercial and planning stakeholders, alongside terminals, ship owners, brokers, agents and marine service providers.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead regional chartering and voyage execution activities across the West region.
- Plan vessel scheduling, nominations, loading, discharge and shipment execution activities.
- Optimise vessel utilisation, freight efficiency and regional capacity management.
- Align shipping execution with supply, demand and customer delivery requirements.
- Manage demurrage exposure, claims, delays, operational disruptions and operational risk.
- Coordinate with terminals, ports, barge operators, brokers, agents and marine service providers.
- Ensure compliance with marine standards, HSSE requirements, sanctions and governance controls.
- Support the development of operating procedures, governance and escalation pathways during a transition to an independent operating model.
- Provide regional operational insight to support network optimisation and freight strategy.
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong experience in shipping operations, chartering or voyage operations.
- Experience in tanker, lubricants, chemicals or bulk/liquid shipping environments.
- Knowledge of voyage execution, scheduling, claims and demurrage management.
- Strong decision-making capability in dynamic, escalation-driven environments.
- Experience working with terminals, barge operators, brokers and shipping service providers.

- Experience in oil & gas, lubricants or chemical shipping.
- Familiarity with voyage management and chartering systems.
- Exposure to transitions or carve-out programmes.
