Job Title: Regional Demand Planning Specialist

Department: Supply Chain

Location: Fareham, UK

Working Hours: 37.5 per week (Mon-Fri)

Job summary – What to expect:

As the Regional Demand Planner, you’ll be responsible for managing the demand planning processes within the EMEA region. You’ll work collaboratively with the regional/product Commercial organization to understand the market dynamics, participation strategies and resulting demand forecast. Your responsibilities include:

  • Ownership of regional product demand forecasts in the planning system which drives the supply planning functions. Working in collaboration with the Marketing teams to understand demand drivers.
  • Highlighting demand trends, documenting key assumptions as well as risks and opportunities.
  • Participating with the Commercial / Marketing team in development of the product participation strategies and resulting demand plan.
  • Supporting demand planning for new product introduction through collaboration with cross-functional teams, e.g. new product introduction teams, commercial teams, supply planning teams.
  • Working with the Marketing teams to understand the regional forecasts and ensuring consistency in the demand forecasts. Ensuring that the assumptions underlying the forecasts are understood and documented.
  • Evaluating key performance indicators for demand actuals vs. plan, and contributing to projects to improve regional forecast accuracy and bias.
  • Identifying improvement opportunities across the Global Supply Chain and Commercial forecast generation process.

About you:

We are looking for someone with:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple groups and countries, and broad functional areas to obtain buy-in and support, communicate and provide leadership for implementing capabilities.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast and dynamic environment.
  • Project management skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
  • Additional language skills appropriate to the EMEA region would be a benefit, but not essential.

Experience & Education:

Required:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience within a supply chain environment
  • Previous experience working in a global organization and with geographically dispersed colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Understanding of the end-to-end supply chain.
  • Basic understanding of statistical based demand forecasting.
  • Basic project management skills.
  • Experience in collaborating with stakeholders, for instance supply chain, manufacturing, packaging and distribution operations, and commercial/sales functions.

  • Experience in a regulated industry, medical device or similar industry.
  • Advanced Excel skills
