AECOM invites applicants for an ** Regional Director – Fire Engineering** role. This consultancy-based position requires demonstrable expertise across diverse fire engineering sectors in a client-centric environment.

Key Responsibilities
People & Team Leadership
- Lead and manage fire engineering teams in the UK, overseeing workload, performance, and project delivery.
- Drive team success through SMART goal setting, appraisals, and mentorship.
- Foster technical development with tailored professional enhancement plans and mentorship of individuals towards chartership status.

Project Delivery & Technical Expertise
- Ensure large-scale project success, meeting regulatory standards and exceeded client expectations.
- Lead budgeting, scheduling, and high-quality output for mid to large projects.
- Contribute specialised fire engineering insights across the portfolio.
- Become an AECOM Approved Lead Verifier and pursuing AECOM Approved Project Manager status.
Client & Business Growth
- Strengthen client relationships, nurture strategic alliances, and attract new business.
- Champion AECOM’s fire engineering services using tailored recruitment and marketing strategies.
- Assist in developing and promoting the Fire Team Business Plan, driving team effectiveness.
Compliance & Culture
- Enforce health & safety policies in all work scenarios (in-office and commuting client/site interactions).
- Promote AECOM and its fire engineering legacy through collaborative, forward-thinking communication.

Qualifications & Expectations
Core Requirements
- UK fire engineering project experience.
- Proven success in large, multi-disciplinary consultancies.
- Mastery of UK standards: ADB, BS 9991/9999/9992, HTM 05-02, BB100.
- Knowledgeable with tools like FDS, SFE, evacuation modelling software.
- Active membership (MIFireE) or equivalent standards certification (NFPA CFPE).
Preferables
- Security clearance.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or eligibility.
- Extensive expertise in global fire engineering tools (FDS, evacuation modelling, structural fire safety).
- Advanced degrees (MSc/PhD) or international credentials (IBC, SFPE, NFPA).
- Prior experience aligning with multi-national standards.
