Oversee the management of disrepair cases within the construction department of a not-for-profit organisation, focusing on expertise in compliance, stakeholder engagement, and high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a regional team responsible for:
- Managing disrepair, complex repairs, insurance claims, complaints, alterations requests, and responsive repairs
- Manage contractor performance, ensuring:
- Contractual obligations are met
- Service standards and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are achieved
- Oversee effective disrepair case management, minimising risks and delivering appropriate resolutions
- Act as a subject matter expert in complex property matters, including:
- Supporting legal proceedings and dispute resolution
- Monitor operational workstreams, ensuring:
- Accurate record keeping, reporting, and governance controls
- Review service delivery performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer outcomes
- Manage budgets and financial performance, ensuring expenditure is controlled and resources are optimised
- Build and maintain productive partnerships with:
- Internal teams
- Contractors
- Legal representatives
- External stakeholders
- Analyse customer feedback, complaints data, and operational trends to identify service improvement opportunities
- Ensure all repairs and property-related activities comply with regulatory requirements, policies, and best practices
- Provide regular performance reporting and assurance to senior leadership
- Foster a customer-focused culture with:
- Transparent communication
- High-quality service delivery

Profile & Requirements
- Proven experience managing disrepair in housing, property, or regulated environments
- Strict leadership experience leading:
- Multidisciplinary property or repairs teams
- Contract management
- Contractor performance management
- Background in:
- Overseeing complex repairs, complaints, or insurance claims
- Presenting evidence or acting as an expert witness in disrepair cases
- Strong knowledge of:
- Property maintenance
- Surveying principles
- Responsive repairs operations
- Exceptional stakeholder management abilities to influence at all levels
- Robust analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills
- Budget management experience with awareness of financial constraints
- Excellent written and verbal communication proficiency
- Highly organised with:
- Precision for attention to detail
- Strong governance compliance
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
- Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle for business use
- Experience in social housing or related property sectors
- Professional qualification in:
- Building surveying
- Construction
- Property management
- Background in service improvement or customer experience initiatives
- Knowledge of:
- Housing disrepair legislation
- Relevant regulatory frameworks
- Experience collaborating with:
- Legal teams
- External partners on complex property cases
