Regional Engagement Executive – East Midlands Region (Permanent, £34,000)

Based in the East Midlands, this home-based role includes regular travel to facilitate member engagement, events, and regional activities. Autonomy is key, but you’ll collaborate with a supportive, collaborative national team to deliver outstanding member experiences.
What You Will Be Doing
- Plan, organise and deliver diverse regional events, engagement activities, and networking opportunities that enhance member satisfaction.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with ICAEW members, firms, volunteers, and stakeholders, acting as the regional champion for ICAEW.
- Boost member engagement by proactively connecting with both existing and disengaged members, gathering feedback, and addressing challenges.
- Chair meetings, present confidently, and represent ICAEW to a variety of audiences—including senior business leaders and Chartered Accountants.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Membership and Marketing teams to promote events, share insights, and achieve regional goals.
- Monitor engagement metrics, manage event budgets, and report on KPIs, continuously improving member experience.
- Take initiative to identify opportunities, solve problems, and drive meaningful change.

What You Will Need
Experience
- Proven success in relationship management, stakeholder engagement, membership, or similar customer-facing roles.
- Experience planning and delivering events, including venue sourcing, logistics, budgeting, and on-the-day coordination.
- A track record of building trusted relationships with professionals at senior levels.
- Desireable: Remote/field-based experience working autonomously.
- Advantageous but not essential: experience in a membership organisation, professional body, or professional services environment.
Skills & Competencies
- A confident presenter and communicator, comfortable chairing discussions and representing ICAEW professionally.
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills, with the emotional intelligence to understand member needs.
- Exceptionally organised, capable of managing multiple projects and priorities with minimal supervision.
- Proactive and self-motivated, using initiative to spot opportunities and find solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, engaging effectively at all levels.
- Digital proficiency: Microsoft Office, virtual event platforms, social media, and online communication.
- Flexibility to travel regularly across the East Midlands, with occasional evenings and overnight stays when required.
