Regional Executive Chef – National Contract
Location: North Central England (Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds), South England (Cambridge, Reading, Bristol), Northern Ireland & Scotland (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Belfast) Contract: Up to £54,000 + travel allowance Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, with extensive travel requirements

Job Summary
A Regional Executive Chef. You’ll lead remote culinary teams with autonomy, manage culinary standards across multiple locations, and ensure seamless operations from Scotland/Northern Ireland to Central England.
Key Responsibilities:

Supreme Leadership & Mangement
- Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations across diverse venues, maintaining our culture of food excellence.
- Provide strategic expertise critical to Group Executive Chef decisions, including senior recruitment, risk management, and client escalations.
- Ensure proactive communication with regional teams via calls, emails, action plans, and shared documents.

Culinary & Operational Excellence
- Implement and uphold company client standards, from menu design to presentation, staffing, and service delivery.
- Supplier & Procurement: Manage relationships with producers, ensuring quality, provenance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Health & Safety: Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and environmental legislation for all locations.

Financial Responsibility & Forecasting
- Monitor budgets and financial targets, identifying commercial opportunities and advising teams accordingly.
- Streamline supplies, food rotation, and inventory control to prevent waste and enhance profitability.

- Managerial & Mentorship Role: Recruit, oversee, and assess team performance, cultivating culinary talent.
- Drive employee engagement while continually developing their skills (including apprenticeships and mentorship programs).

Requirements
Essential:
- Proven leadership in high-volume or multi-outlet culinary environments at an Executive Chef level.
- Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate (or above) required.
- A deep understanding of culinary excellence beyond cooking—team collaboration, stress management, and supplier relations are essential.
- Familiarity with HACCP, food safety standards, and financial controls.
- Highly organised with exceptional communication skills, able to adapt to varied locations and stakeholders.
Complementary Assets:
- Experience with event catering, volume cooking, or corporate hospitality.
- A strong portfolio of creation (dishes, menus, trend knowledge).
