About The Team
SumUp's Key Account Sales team is entering an exciting new phase of growth. We've built a high-performing organization focused on winning and growing high-value merchants across Hospitality, Retail, and Beauty, and we're now looking for an experienced sales leader to scale our Northern and Central European business.
As Regional Head of Key Account Sales, Northern & Central Europe, you'll lead, coach, and develop a high-performing organization of sales leaders and account executives across the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, and the Nordics. You'll be responsible for driving regional growth, building a consistent sales operating model across multiple markets, and creating an environment where teams consistently exceed ambitious commercial goals.
This is a highly strategic leadership role, requiring someone who can combine commercial excellence with strong people leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and operational rigor.
What You'll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing organization of Team Leads and Key Account Executives across the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, and the Nordics.
- Own the commercial performance and revenue targets across Northern and Central Europe, driving sustainable growth within the region.
- Build a high-performance sales culture through coaching, performance management, and leadership development.
- Define and continuously refine the regional Key Account sales playbook, ensuring consistent execution while adapting to local market nuances.
- Drive forecasting excellence, pipeline health, and sales execution through structured business reviews, performance cadences, and data-driven decision making.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Product, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success to strengthen SumUp's value proposition for enterprise and high-value merchants.
- Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, increase productivity, and scale best practices across markets.
- Develop future sales leaders by creating clear career paths, succession planning, and coaching frameworks.
- Act as a strategic partner to senior commercial leadership, providing market insights, performance analysis, and recommendations to accelerate regional growth.

What We're Looking For
- Significant experience leading high-performing B2B sales organizations across multiple countries or regions, ideally within SaaS, fintech, payments, or technology.
- Proven success leading managers and developing high-performing sales teams through coaching, accountability, and clear performance expectations.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing large regional revenue targets and complex sales cycles.
- Demonstrated ability to build scalable sales operating models, forecast accurately, and improve pipeline quality.
- Experience leading distributed teams across different cultures and markets, balancing consistency with local market needs.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and senior leadership.
- Analytical and strategic mindset, comfortable using data to identify opportunities and drive business decisions.
- Familiarity with modern sales technology including Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, MixMax, Lusha, and similar tools.
