Regional HSE Advisor – Huws Gray (Bristol)
Supporting Safety, Compliance, and Wellbeing Across the Region - Covering approximately 40 branches

You'll play an important role in helping to create a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible workplace across our branch network. Working closely with operational managers, you'll provide practical advice, guidance and support to help them meet their health, safety, quality and environmental responsibilities. You'll also help embed company policies, standards and best practices, while encouraging continuous improvement and promoting a positive safety culture that enables our people and branches to perform at their best.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide practical health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) advice and support to Branch Managers, Regional Performance Directors, Regional Managers, and operational teams across the region.
- Carry out branch audits and inspections, reporting on performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with operational teams to develop and implement effective corrective actions that drive compliance and continuous improvement.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, helping to identify root causes and preventative measures to reduce the risk of recurrence.
- Monitor and follow up on agreed actions, ensuring improvements are completed within agreed timescales.
- Act as a trusted subject matter expert on key health, safety, environmental, and risk management matters.
- Support the wider HSE team, contributing to regional and business-wide initiatives, projects, and best practice sharing.
- Deliver coaching, guidance, and training to help build HSE knowledge, confidence, and capability across operational teams.
- Provide balanced, pragmatic advice that considers both operational requirements and risk management principles.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation relating to audits, investigations, and HSE activities.
- Take ownership of your own professional development, keeping up to date with legislation, industry standards, and best practices.
- Support additional HSE priorities and projects as required, helping to promote a positive safety culture across the business.

What You’ll Bring
We're looking for a confident and proactive HSE professional with a practical approach to risk management and a passion for promoting safe ways of working. You'll have a NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) and ideally be TechIOSH, working towards Graduate Membership. Experience in a multi-site environment, strong communication and influencing skills, and the ability to build effective relationships at all levels are essential. You'll be highly organised, comfortable working independently, proficient in Microsoft Office and able to adapt to changing priorities. A full UK driving licence is required, and a NEBOSH Diploma would be advantageous.
