Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a dynamic regional role where you can make a real impact? We are seeking a Regional HR Advisor to support our sites in the North region, providing expert HR guidance, driving consistency in people practices, and helping managers build high-performing teams.
Reporting to the Regional HR Business Partner, you will be a trusted partner to managers, delivering practical HR solutions, supporting employee relations matters and ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies and processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and enjoys balancing hands-on support with continuous improvement initiatives.
Your Mission at Elis
Employee Relations & HR Support
- Provide first-line HR advice and guidance on absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance matters.
- Coach managers on HR processes, options and best practice to support effective decision-making.
- Support formal employee relations meetings, ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-up actions.
- Act as a responsive and reliable point of contact for operational HR matters.
HR Operations & Consistency
- Ensure HR policies, procedures and organisational standards are applied consistently across all sites.
- Support managers in following established frameworks relating to grading, reward, and organisational structure.
- Promote fair, timely and well-documented people management practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and share best practice across the HR team.

Reporting, Insight & Compliance
- Maintain accurate employee relations records and action trackers.
- Monitor trends in absence, attrition and employee relations activity, highlighting risks and recurring issues.
- Deliver HR Health Checks to assess compliance, process adherence and people risks.
- Follow up on agreed actions from surveys, audits and people reviews to ensure delivery and accountability.
Training & Capability Building
- Coordinate and deliver HR and people management training across the region.
- Support managers in developing confidence and capability in handling people matters.
- Work with HR Business Partners to identify capability gaps and support targeted interventions.
- Coordinate mandatory and refresher HR training activities.
Engagement & Recruitment
- Support employee engagement initiatives, forums and people communications.
- Participate in recruitment activities for key appointments, helping assess organisational fit and capability.
- Coordinate local learning and compliance activity within company frameworks.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.
What will make you stand out?
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience managing and supporting employee relations cases within an operational or multi-site environment.
- The confidence to coach and influence managers at all levels.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- The ability to analyse trends and provide meaningful people insights.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- The flexibility to travel across multiple sites within the North region.
- A valid UK driving licence.
- Ideally, CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience)
