Are you a commercially-minded HR Business Partner who isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves?
Our client is a well-established, multi-site consumer business with ambitious plans and a people-first culture. They are looking for an experienced Regional HR Business Partner to partner senior operational leaders across a large and diverse region, helping to drive performance, engagement and organisational effectiveness.
This is not a role for someone who wants to sit on the side-lines. You'll be a trusted advisor, coach and challenger to senior stakeholders, balancing strategic people priorities with hands-on operational support. You'll have significant influence across the business, helping to shape the people agenda while managing complex employee relations matters and delivering meaningful change.
With approximately 50% of the current workload focused on employee relations, we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys navigating complex people matters and can confidently own cases from start to finish, while helping the business move towards a more proactive, commercially-driven people agenda.
The Opportunity
Reporting into the Senior People Leadership Team, you'll partner with key operational stakeholders across a region spanning 43 sites. Working closely with Operations, Learning & Development and the wider People Team, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the business has the right people capability, structure and culture to deliver its objectives.
This role offers genuine scope to influence at a senior level, including exposure to the Irish Board and a number of key operational leaders.
What You'll Be Doing
Employee Relations Leadership
- Personally manage complex and high-risk employee relations cases.
- Provide expert guidance on disciplinary, grievance, harassment, discrimination, absence management and capability matters.
- Lead and support TUPE projects where required.
- Balance commercial realities with legal compliance and employee experience.
- Coach and develop operational leaders to improve people management capability and reduce future ER risk.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
