Thermal Care Scotland is expanding, and we are looking for a standout Air Conditioning Installation Engineer to become the foundation of our new North East operation.

This is not a standard engineer vacancy.

We are looking for someone who wants more than turning up, installing systems, and moving on to the next job. This role is for an experienced engineer who wants to help build something — a new regional operation, a strong local reputation, and eventually a team around them. You will be the first key appointment in the region and will play an important part in shaping how our North East air conditioning installation work is delivered.

The Opportunity

As our Regional Lead Air Conditioning Installation Engineer, you will take responsibility for high-quality domestic and light commercial air conditioning installations across the North East. You will be trusted to represent the company on site, deliver excellent workmanship, provide a first-class customer experience, and help us grow the region properly.

As the workload develops, this role has clear progression into a leadership position, supporting future engineers, mentoring junior team members, and helping build a regional installation team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is already a strong installer and is ready for the next step in their career.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
