Join us as an Regional Management Trainer and we can offer you a generous package of up to £38,000 per year plus a car allowance contribution.
As a Regional Management Trainer, you play a key role in shaping confident, capable and values-led leaders across Hickory’s. You support and guide managers through their full journey – from onboarding through to sign-off and ongoing development – ensuring they are set up for long-term success within the business.
You work in close partnership with Area Managers and General Managers to ensure a consistent, high-quality management development experience across your region. This is a highly visible, field-based role with the majority of time spent in restaurants, including evenings and weekends.
Team:
- Oversee onboarding of all new and promoted managers, ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience across your region.
- Ensure Orientation is delivered to a strong standard and reflects Hickory’s expectations and culture.
- Monitor the first 12 weeks of a manager’s journey, identifying risks early and supporting with clear development actions.
- Own the MIT journey end-to-end, ensuring clarity, structure and consistency.
- Lead MIT Brunches, ensuring every MIT feels supported, engaged and part of the Hickory’s team.
- Capture and action feedback from MIT Brunches, Roadshows and Fresh Eyes.
- Design and deliver the MIT sign-off process, ensuring managers are confident and ready before stepping fully into role.
- Work with General Managers to build PDPs post sign-off and support ongoing development.
- Coach managers to lead confident, engaged teams that deliver great shifts.
- Support succession planning by identifying and developing future leaders.
- Lead and develop Regional Support Trainers through regular 1-2-1s, coaching and clear expectations.
- Observe training delivery to ensure consistency and quality across all restaurants.
- Maintain accurate MIT trackers, development plans and training records.
- Ensure all managers are set up correctly on systems and training platforms.

Guests:
- Support managers to deliver exceptional Southern Hospitality every shift.
- Coach managers on how their leadership directly impacts the guest experience.
- Reinforce strong guest interaction, personalised service and memorable moments.
- Support managers during peak trading to strengthen presence and decision making.
- Use feedback from guests, MITs and internal insight to drive improvements.
- Ensure all training and development supports a consistent, high-quality guest journey.
- Help new managers positively impact guest experience quickly within their first 12 weeks.
Business:
- Support reduction in 90-day management turnover through strong onboarding and coaching.
- Ensure consistency in management training standards across all restaurants.
- Support delivery of key training programmes including Warm Welcome and Train the Trainer.
- Work with L&D to improve training content and approach.
- Drive FLOW compliance and ensure training is applied in role.
- Provide input into WAF and training reporting.
- Support planning and coordination of training activity across the region.
- Work closely with Area Managers to align priorities and development focus.
- Support new restaurant openings ensuring managers are ready and confident.
- Influence key metrics including MIT completion, retention, engagement and training completion.

Working Pattern:
- Field-based role with approximately 80% of time spent in restaurants.
- Regular evening and weekend work expected.
- High visibility during peak trading periods.
- Flexibility required to support operational needs.
