Regional Manager

Location: Manchester
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Competitive + Annual Bonus + Company Car or Car Allowance

Are you an experienced Regional Manager, Operations Manager, Distribution Manager, or Multi-Site Operations Leader looking for your next challenge? We are looking for a commercially focused Regional Operations Manager to lead operational performance across our Manchester region. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful, growing business where you'll have the autonomy to drive operational excellence, develop high-performing teams, and make a genuine impact on customer experience.

The Role

Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for the operational performance of multiple sites, ensuring excellence across warehouse operations, transport, inventory management, customer service, and health & safety.

  • Working closely with Operations, Customer Service, and Sales teams, you'll drive continuous improvement, improve productivity, manage budgets, and lead operational projects that support the long-term success of the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop operational teams across multiple locations.
  • Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Deliver regional operational KPIs including service, productivity, cost control, and compliance.
  • Manage warehouse operations, inventory, and distribution performance.
  • Oversee transport and fleet operations, ensuring legal compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Manage operational budgets and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Coach and develop Operations Managers and Customer Service Managers.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, and Transport legislation.
  • Build strong working relationships across Operations, Sales, and Customer Service.
  • Lead operational projects including site improvements, warehouse optimization, logistics initiatives, and business change programmes.
  • Create a culture focused on customer service, accountability, and high performance.

About You

We're looking for an experienced operations leader who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and developing people. You'll ideally have:

  • Experience managing multi-site operations within logistics, distribution, warehousing, or supply chain.
  • Strong people leadership experience with a proven ability to coach and develop managers.
  • Experience managing operational budgets and delivering cost efficiencies.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, transport, inventory management, and logistics.
  • A track record of delivering operational improvements and business change.
  • Strong commercial awareness and excellent decision-making skills.
  • Experience managing operational projects from planning through to successful delivery.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
