Regional Manager - Publican Partners

Region

Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Dudley and surrounding areas

About Stonegate Group

Stonegate Group is the UK’s largest operator of pubs, bars, and late-night venues. We’re proud of our diverse portfolio and deeply committed to creating an inclusive culture that embraces individuality. By fostering an environment where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and supported, we reflect the vibrant communities we serve and empower our people to thrive.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Regional Manager to oversee Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Dudley and surrounding areas, providing support to multiple publicans and businesses within the Core L&T Division.

Your primary focus is to drive a quality, robust strategic plan for your region, aimed at increasing "whole pub profit" per publican—benefiting profitability and improving like-for-like income.

To deliver growth objectives, you’ll need to:

  • Recruit and develop capable, well-funded publicans, ensuring they are equipped to excel.
  • Maintain high property standards across all leased and tenanted pubs to safeguard asset value.
  • Uphold retail excellence by offering strategic advice, conducting regular business reviews, and fostering skill development.

Your approach: Cookie-cutter solutions won’t suffice. You must implement a bespoke retailing strategy while ensuring compliance with the Pubs Code. Critical tasks include:

  • Documenting clear and compliant meeting minutes for all business reviews, ensuring alignment with legal standards.
  • Fair treatment of publicans, helping them achieve business goals.
  • Regular performance reviews to identify growth opportunities, followed by structured action plans to meet targets.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
