Regional Manager (Retail)
Location: London with travel between stores
Reports To: Managing Director
Salary: £60-80k, depending on experience
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Nokwol is entering an exciting phase of growth with an ambitious retail store rollout programme planned over the next 12-months. We are looking for a Regional Manager to aid this expansion.
This is a hands-on position for someone who loves retail, thrives in fast-paced environments, and wants to learn every aspect of multi-site retail management. You will work closely with senior leadership to gain experience in store operations, recruitment, new store openings, performance management, commercial planning, and people development. This role offers a unique opportunity to help shape the future of Nokwol's retail network.
Key Responsibilities
Multi-Site Support
- Support the performance and operations of stores across the region.
- Act as a point of support and coaching for Store Managers and their teams.
- Ensure stores consistently deliver excellent customer service and maintain brand standards.
- Assist with identifying and implementing operational improvements.
New Store Openings
- Play a leading role in Nokwol's aggressive store expansion programme.
- Support site launches, store setup, merchandising, staffing, and opening activities.
- Travel to new locations as required during store opening periods.
- Help establish operational processes and best practices for new stores.
People Development
- Coach and mentor Store Managers and Assistant Managers.
- Support recruitment and onboarding for new and existing stores.
- Assist in building succession plans and developing future retail leaders.
- Promote a positive, energetic, and high-performance culture.

Commercial Performance
- Support stores in achieving sales, profitability, and productivity targets.
- Analyse store performance and identify opportunities to drive growth.
- Assist in implementing promotions, campaigns, and local business initiatives.
- Monitor key performance indicators and drive accountability.
Hands-On Leadership
- Lead by example and be prepared to step into stores when additional support is needed.
- Assist with resolving operational challenges and customer issues.
- Be visible and engaged with teams across the region.
- Support the business through periods of rapid growth and change.
Operational Excellence
- High standards of visual merchandising and store presentation.
- Stock accuracy and shrinkage targets achieved.
- Full compliance with health and safety standards.
- Successful implementation and adoption of new retail systems and operational tools.
- Identification of process improvements that increase efficiency and support business growth.
- Contribution to building scalable retail operations capable of supporting Nokwol's expansion programme.
Working Hours & Flexibility
This role operates to a fixed schedule with Sunday and Tuesday/Wednesdays off. Extensive travel between our stores is essential and expected. A flexible approach to working hours is essential, particularly during periods of rapid expansion, store openings, and peak trading activity. The successful candidate will lead from the front, ensuring they are present when and where the business needs them most.

- Proven success as a Store Manager in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Strong leadership skills with a genuine passion for developing people.
- Commercially minded with a focus on driving sales and performance.
- Highly motivated, ambitious, and eager to progress into senior retail leadership.
- Flexible and willing to travel extensively.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
