Regional Manager - Scotland

About Matalan

At Matalan, we believe looking stylish and making your home feel great shouldn't cost the earth.

From humble beginnings in the North West over 40 years ago, we've grown into one of the UK's best known fashion and homeware retailers, serving millions of customers across the UK and internationally. We might have grown, but we've stayed true to who we are - hardworking, down to earth, and always focused on giving our customers great quality, style and value they can rely on.

We know as a team, we are stronger together – we champion equality for all and make lasting connections that go beyond work. We thrive off our inclusive culture, encouraging our colleagues to bring their true selves to work and contributing to collective creativity, open-mindedness and growth.

Modern, Stylish, Great Quality and Value - We're in our New Matalan Era, and we'd love you to join us - whether that's as a candidate or customer, we're confident you'll love where we're heading!

We're looking for an experienced and inspiring Regional Manager to lead our Scotland region.

As a Regional Manager at Matalan, you will be responsible for leading multiple stores across Scotland, implementing the business strategy, and motivating and inspiring your teams to drive profitable sales and industry-leading colleague engagement. Your role will combine strategic planning and cross-functional stakeholder management with hands-on retail operational leadership, ensuring every store delivers an exceptional experience for both customers and colleagues.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
