About The Role

The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for leading the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of installation operations across a large geographical area.

The role manages and develops operational managers and Team Leaders, with accountability for the performance of field-based installation teams and subcontractor partners. The successful candidate must have previous experience of managing managers, setting clear expectations, reviewing performance and holding regional leadership teams accountable for results.

What You'll Be Doing

The role has responsibility for delivering installation targets across heat pumps, solar PV and battery storage, while maintaining strong standards of quality, customer experience, health and safety and commercial performance.

The Regional Operations Manager will oversee operational performance across multiple regions and must have experience working across, or supporting, a national operating model. This includes the ability to manage performance remotely, travel between regions, standardise ways of working and ensure consistent delivery across geographically dispersed teams.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Managing and developing operational managers and Team Leaders.
  • Leading field-based direct labour teams and subcontractor partners.
  • Delivering installation volume, productivity and capacity targets.
  • Managing performance across multiple locations and regions.
  • Supporting national operational initiatives and ensuring consistent standards across the business.
  • Reviewing regional performance through operational dashboards, weekly reviews and monthly business reviews.
  • Managing labour capacity, recruitment requirements and team onboarding.
  • Improving productivity, utilisation and installations per available team.
  • Managing operational budgets, labour costs, overtime and subcontractor spend.
  • Driving improvements in installation margin and reducing avoidable operational costs.
  • Improving Right First Time performance and reducing remedial works, revisits and incomplete installations.
  • Managing complex customer complaints and high-risk operational escalations.
  • Ensuring installations are properly planned, designed, resourced and materially ready.
  • Working closely with Planning, Design, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Support, Technical Support, Quality and Compliance.
  • Managing subcontractor performance, including quality, safety, productivity, customer experience and commercial delivery.
  • Leading recovery plans where installation volume, productivity, quality, cost or customer experience is below target.
  • Driving continuous improvement and sharing best practice across regional and national operations.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of operational processes, systems and performance dashboards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
