About the Role
Are you a senior finance leader who excels at driving cash flow efficiency, managing financial risk, and pioneering digital transformation? Kärcher is seeking a Regional OTC Manager to head our Order-to-Cash (OTC) function across the Northern Europe Region.
In this key leadership position, you will take total functional ownership of the regional sales ledger, credit control, and customer accounting processes in close collaboration with Global Business Services (GBS). This role demands an international mindset and a proactive approach to leading a high-performing regional team according to Kärcher values. As the regional System Super User, you will be instrumental in identifying cost-control opportunities, maintaining internal governance, and driving the digital automation of our financial workflows.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
As our Regional OTC Manager, you are directly accountable for the efficiency of the OTC lifecycle and the achievement of regional financial targets. Your core responsibilities are tied to the following critical deliverables:
- Lead all regional customer accounting workflows, including credit control, master data quality, and the dunning process to minimize customer financial risk.
- Ensure daily cash collection and matching activities are performed with first-time accuracy, while governing the Global Shared Services (KGS) team to deliver regular AR-to-GL ledger reconciliations and high-quality month-end closings on time.
- Take direct ownership of critical financial metrics that impact the region's balance sheet, net financial status, and pre-tax results.
- Drive the team to meet and exceed key performance indicators, specifically targeting Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), debtors days, bad debt percentages, and the absolute accuracy of customer rebate accruals in strict adherence to customer contracts.
- Act as the regional Super User and business owner for all associated interfaces and systems, including SAP, TIS, bank platforms, and merchant provider networks (e.g., PayPal, Worldpay, Adyen, Nets).
- Lead the implementation, training, and continuous enhancement of these platforms, proactively utilizing Gemini and other Google AI tools to maximize process automation.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive reporting structures, providing the business with precise insights into accounts receivable, aging reports, and customer open-item statements.
- Enforce internal controls, ensure all OTC postings comply with local regulations and internal policies, manage merchant and payment provider contracts, and lead the function's preparation for internal and external audits.
- Lead and develop the regional OTC team following Kärcher core values. Be responsible for strategic goal setting, performance reviews, and long-term development plans.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
