Job Title: Parts Controller
About the Role
The Parts Controller plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations by managing inventory, parts distribution, and warranty processes. This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask efficiently while contributing to a more sustainable future.
Responsibilities

Stock Level Control
- Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to ensure parts availability.
- Implement inventory strategies to minimise stockouts and overstock situations.

Monthly Stock Count
- Conduct monthly inspections to verify inventory accuracy.
- Reconcile discrepancies and update records as required.

Van Replenishment
- Ensure service vans are restocked with necessary parts and consumables.
- Monitor fluctuating van inventories to support timely replenishment.

Booking Parts to Jobs
- Accurately log and book parts to service jobs in the system.
- Maintain proper documentation and tracking for parts utilisation.

Consumable Purchasing
- Manage purchases of consumables and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Facilitate timely procurement to align with service operation demands.

Goods Receiving Management
- Oversee receipt of goods and ensure accurate documentation.
- Inspect shipments for compliance with quality and quantity standards.

Warranty Parts Management
- Process warranty parts, including returns and replacements.
- Document and track warranty claims efficiently.

Stores Housekeeping
- Maintain a clean, efficient, and organised parts store.
- Improve warehouse management processes, ensuring consistency across regions.

Extension of Service Controller for Peak Times (Seasonal Support)
- Provide backup to Service Controllers during high-volume periods.
- Assist in call handling, engineer planning, and customer liaison when needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in parts control or inventory management.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision in accuracy.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and digital tools.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high efficiency under pressure.
- Knowledge of warranty management and goods receiving processes is advantageous.
- Familiarity with service operations is a plus.
