The Role
Join our team as a Parts Controller, playing a critical role in streamlining stock management and ensuring efficient service operations.
Location & Work Pattern
Organisation: On-Site (5 days per week)
Key Responsibilities
Stock Level Control
- Monitor and optimise inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
- Implement helpful inventory strategies for better spend efficiency.
Monthly Stock Count
- Conduct precise monthly audits of on-hand stock.
- Resolve discrepancies and update records with accuracy.

Van Replenishment
- Ensure service vans are fully stocked with essential parts and consumables.
- Coordinate restocking workflows to match operational demand.
Booking Parts to Jobs
- Log accurate part assignments to planned service jobs in the system.
- Maintain rigorous tracking and documentation for parts usage.
Consumable & PPE Purchasing
- Procure necessary consumables and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ensure cost-effective sourcing and timely delivery for field crews.
Goods Receiving Management
- Oversee receiving processes with spot-checks for quality and quantity.
- Document and verify all incoming goods in compliance with operations standards.
Warranty Parts Management
- Handle warranty part claims, replacements, and returns.
- Maintain clear records and liaise with customers on resolved warranties.
Stores Housekeeping
- Maintain an organised, clean, and efficient parts store in alignment with best practices.
- Work with teammates to ensure consistency across regions.
Service Controller Support (Peak-Times Extension)
- Provide extra assistance to our Customer Service Controller during busy periods.
- Support with call handling, engineer planning, and customer communications.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience in inventory control or parts management (preferably in a technical or services industry).
- Ability to organise tasks effectively under pressure without sacrificing quality.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in inventory & documentation.
- Proficiency with inventory software, ERP, or warehouse tools.
- Strong communication and customer service skills for liaison purposes.
- Ability to work collaboratively and liaise with team members.
- Experience with warranty claims in a parts management context considered a plus.
- Familiarity with field service or trucking operations preferred.
