As a Regional People Partner, you will play a strategically critical role in shaping and delivering the people agenda across your region. You will work closely with senior leaders as a trusted advisor, ensuring our people plans directly support:

This role is central to driving culture, building capability, and influencing behaviours that enable high performance.

You will be instrumental in connecting operational realities with strategic people ambitions, translating insights from stores into meaningful interventions that improve colleague experience and business outcomes.

Working with the wider People function and Centres of Expertise, you will ensure that people strategies are executed consistently and embedded deeply within the business.

You will spend the majority of your time in stores:

  • Building relationships
  • Understanding the impact of initiatives
  • Ensuring people activity is implemented effectively with maximum impact.

What You’ll Do

In this strategically focused role, you will partner with senior regional leaders to shape the people activity strategy, ensuring it directly supports:

  • Operational priorities
  • Organisational goals

You will utilise data, insights, and business understanding to:

  • Diagnose challenges
  • Identify opportunities
  • Design people interventions that strengthen capability and drive performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of all people cycles across the region, including:
    • Performance management
    • Reward
    • Talent management
    • Succession planning
  • Ensure each activity is simple, accessible, and aligned with long-term business needs.
  • Provide strategic leadership to a team of Store People Partners, focusing on:
    • Setting clear expectations
    • Enabling their development
    • Ensuring they deliver consistent, high-quality support across the region.

Who You Are

You are an experienced and highly strategic People/HR Business Partner with a proven track record in:

  • Shaping and delivering people agendas in fast-paced, complex commercial environments.
  • Leading People Partners or HR professionals.
  • Creating clarity, building capability, and driving high performance.

  • Think long-term while acting with pace.
  • Connect people activity with organisational strategy for meaningful business impact.
  • Build trust quickly and influence effectively across all levels.
  • Display strong commercial awareness in recommendations.
  • Use data and insight to shape decisions, diagnose root causes, and refine interventions.

    • Working across multiple sites and stakeholder groups.
  • Strong influencing and leadership capability to:

    • Partner with senior leaders.
    • Challenge constructively.
    • Build trusted, productive relationships that drive cultural and behavioural change.
  • Deep expertise in:

    • Talent management
    • Succession planning
    • Capability development
  • Ability to identify future workforce needs and build diverse pipelines supporting growth.

  • Demonstrated experience leading:

    • Complex organisational change and transformation.
    • Ensuring people-related changes are well-planned, clearly communicated, and embedded effectively.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills for:

    • Interpreting people metrics.
    • Diagnosing root causes.
    • Identifying strategic opportunities.
    • Measuring intervention impact.
  • Experience in organisational design and effectiveness:

  • Shaping roles, structures, and ways of working in support of performance and long-term capability.

  • High learning agility, curiosity, and adaptability to maintain focus on long-term strategic outcomes while delivering at pace.
