What you will be doing

  • To provide a technical service to customers, including installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
  • To ensure customers receive a satisfactory service in line with agreed service level agreements.
  • Responsible for providing first-line technical advice and support in respect of RGC products and ensure RGC level two escalation processes and procedures are adhered to, and that faults are resolved as quickly as possible whilst maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure that Field Service Technicians are effectively utilising resources and systems and follow good working practices, taking a lead role in helping ensure that registered Operator Replaceable Unit customers are happy and competent with adopting and using the Ricoh process.
  • To ensure that technical escalations are resolved within the agreed escalation processes and service level agreements.
  • Responsible for providing updates on escalation status information via the Alerts database, to ensure that all registered parties are kept informed of current actions being taken and customer status.
  • To provide technical coaching to a team(s) of Field Service Technicians, to ensure they are working within the agreed processes and have the correct level of technical knowledge to support customers as well as supporting talent development and continuous learning within Field Service.
  • Communicate general & technical information, produced by the level two RGC Technical Support team, to Field Service Technicians to ensure that they have the most up to date technical information available to them to allow for faults to be resolved effectively within agreed service levels.

  • Excellent knowledge of the Ricoh Graphic Communications product range
  • Excellent knowledge of electrical, technical, and mechanical engineering
  • Excellent Fault diagnosis skills
  • Experience of providing technical support remotely
  • Excellent customer handling
  • Presentation skill
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
