Ainscough Crane Hire is the UK's leading crane company and a Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026 employer. We are looking for an experienced and commercially focused Regional Projects Sales Manager to join our National Projects team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven sales professional to take ownership of major project opportunities across the region, developing long-term customer relationships and driving sustainable revenue growth. Working closely with operational teams, Regional Sales Managers and key stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, securing and developing major project business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and increase revenue across major projects within the Southern Region.
- Manage a portfolio of project-based customers whilst identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers and influencers across all levels of customer organisations.
- Work collaboratively with Regional and Area Sales Managers to maximise opportunities on project sites.
- Own and manage customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify and develop a robust pipeline of future project opportunities.
- Research and target key growth sectors and major projects within the region.
- Attend networking events, industry exhibitions and project launches to promote Ainscough Crane Hire.
- Support operational and technical teams in developing cost-effective lifting solutions for customers.
- Provide accurate forecasting, budgeting and pipeline reporting for all major project opportunities.
- Lead monthly project forecasting reviews and provide regular updates to senior stakeholders.
- Ensure opportunities and customer activity are accurately recorded within company systems and in line with best practice guidelines.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across sales and operational processes.

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a business development, sales or account management role.
- Strong track record of developing and maintaining customer relationships.
- Experience managing large-scale projects or key accounts would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Commercially aware with the ability to identify and convert opportunities into revenue.
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and results-driven with a proactive approach to business development.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with operational, technical and senior management teams.
- Full UK driving licence.
